I graduated IUPUI and follow the school pretty close. I believe they are a really live dog tonight in Hawaii. First off, Coach Ron Hunter has this team believing in themselves and they are pretty jacked to be included in a tournament like this. The talent on the team is for real. I went to school in Indy too and actually have seen a lot of the younger players on the team play, they are impressive. That being said, the starters are even more impressive. Odell Bradley and Akeem Clark can score. Brandon Cole is a player too out of Indy Ben Davis, a basketball school. Depth on the bench includes David Barlow who led Indy Pike to #2 national rating and state title last year. Akeem Clark missed a few games to start the year, but seems to be back in the flow of things. I really see this team competing with Hawaii and possibly pulling the upset. I do believe the wrong team is favored here. IUPUI has played everyone tough this year. They have two losses in the final 5 seconds of their games to West Virginia & Dayton, both decent programs. Vanderbilt was their other loss. They led at the half and it was close throughout. Vandy goes on like a 15-2 run at the end to make it look bad. Vandy is a quality team. Not to mention E. Tenn. State is a very good mid major whom IUPUI defeated a couple of nights ago. These guys play well tonight and should cover the number, probably win outright. Hope this helps.
